JKSafety Hi Vis Bomber Safety Jacket with Detachable Hood ANSI Certified (BJ480)

This is a very well made jacket however the description refers to it as a "bomber" jacket, but this is not a bomber jacket, which is characterized by a snug waistband that sits above the hips. More correctly this is a coat or utility jacket. The jacket is very well made for a utility coat, the stitching throughout is well done in contrast yellow. Seams are sealed, and this jacket should hold up to frequent washing due to well made construction. My husband is wearing the 3X. The sizing is correct for a US 3X, and there is even room for a hoodie or sweatshirt beneath. If you are getting this as a gift or are unsure of size, just measure a jacket that fits and compare to this one: Chest is 30" across Length is 31" down from shoulder to bottom Sleeve is 28" from shoulder seam to bottom and also if you wear leather or heavy gloves - sleeve opening is 14" all around. Doing a test to see if it is waterproof, droplets left on for 1 minute did not absorb at all, and wiped off cleanly. For someone who has to display their ID at all times during work, the visibility pocket is excellent and placed nicely on the jacket. However, it is my opinion that the plastic sleeve is mid-weight. If you can reinforce it with a clear overlay I would. The jacket is warm, quilted lining, long enough to be an excellent choice for winter outerwear, and does have pull straps to tighten the bottom. The zipper has a metal pull. Retro-reflective high-vis stripes are sewn on nicely.

This thing is great when shoveling snow. It is fairly light and not cumbersome or heavy. Kept me warm while shoveling snow ti the point I was sweating. Fit is a little loose, so it will accommodate bundling in layers. Appears to be well made and the material seems top notch. The reflective strips give added safety when it's dark out. I chose black to contrast snow.

Warm jacket with a nice lining. Harder to clean. Extended pocket, and built-in hood. Brightly colored for high visibility. Medium quality zipper. Reflective as well. Certified. Size is good as a xxl, but will be short for anyone nearing a xxlt. It is fairly wide for a bigger man. Quality seems durable. Good price point for a good quality, weather resistant, reflective jacket. Looser fit. Brightly shine and colored, Safety Jacket. Would recommend!
